I was speaking about energy affordability in the Dáil again this week, highlighting the risk from the Government’s plan to hook LNG into our energy mix.

We have a plan to gain political ground and that plan is starting to work #Greens2026
This week in the Dáil I highlighted how household customers pay so much more for electricity compared to big energy intensive data centres.
It's the day of our National Convention, and there has never been a better time to join The Green Party.
As this government turn its back on climate action, continues to put profit before the welfare of its people and the planet, we think you deserve more
Absolutely Niall. Keep up the canvassing in Galway West 🗳️💚
What an amazing win! Congratulations to Hannah Spencer MP and to all our friends in @greenparty.org.uk 💚🗳️
The very best of luck to Hannah Spencer in the Gordon and Denton bye-election today 💚🗳️
This afternoon I chaired the meeting of the Oireachtas Cross Party Group on Cancer today, where we heard from Dr Finbar MacCarthy on the high number of patients breaching waiting times for urgent colonoscopies and from Prof. Gerry Hanna on the need to replace our radiation therapy machines.

Final weekend. One last push.
This is about whether you want local plumber Hannah Spencer or the extreme Reform candidate.
It's hope vs hate.
It's Greens vs Reform.
Hope can win.
Great profile of @janetphorner.bsky.social in the Sunday Independent today
Soft day in Galway, but great to be out on the canvass for @niallgalway.bsky.social our candidate in the upcoming Galway West bye-election 🗳️
That image of the tiled floor of Corduff House is fantastic
This will bring the frequency of buses serving the area up to every 15 minutes, with the 40e connecting to Broombridge Luas and the 40e going to Parnell Square via Finglas Village.
🚍EXTRA BUS SERVICES FOR HOLLYWOODRATH / HOLLYSTOWN
Dublin Bus has shared that it will be extending Route 40d from its current terminus in Tyrrelstown on to the Swing Roundabout from Sunday March 22nd.
Huge congratulations to the @foroige.bsky.social team in Dublin 15 for their work in creating their “Off Limits” campaign, focusing on consent issues and the danger of sharing explicit images online.
With threats to one of the last late night venues in the city centre, I asked the Taoiseach whether the Government will reform licensing laws to protect our nighttime economy and to allow people enjoy themselves after 11:30pm!
Yesterday I raised the hugely damaging impact SNA cuts are having on schools around the country.
I’m glad the review has been suspended, but the Minister for Education needs to give urgent clarity on what SNA numbers schools will have in September.
Yesterday I joined Muslim Women Together in Dublin 15 for their 20th annual door fair, this year raising money for MS Ireland. Thanks to them and to Castleknock Community Centre for hosting us.
Bit of good news for parents and students from Hollywoodrath and Tyrrelstown attending Eiru Community College.
The Dept Education has agreed to provide a school bus from Hollywoodrath to Eiru.
I'm clarifying when it will commence.
Thanks to the parents who have engaged with me on this.
⁉️Just 3 bus shelters built in all of Dublin in 2025?
I was a bit taken aback by the Taoiseach's dismissal of my question to him today about his Govt's delivery of bus infrastructure - have a listen here.
This Govt's deprioritising of public transport - against all evidence - is apparent again.
Great initiative by Cllr David Healy. Time to step away from X!
This was fantastic. Well worth catching.
“More weight” ✊🏼
Happy to support International Epilepsy Day and the amazing work @epilepsyireland.bsky.social do.
#TimeSafeStay
🚍Dublin Bus is pleased to announce an additional morning departure on Route 38b from Monday 9 February 2026 (TODAY!)
These changes will take place Monday to Friday only, with an additional departure from Damastown at 07.26hrs.
To be honest, I don’t remember that. Not sure what the Min for Environment could mandate for the Park as it’s controlled by the OPW?
The Government’s latest effort to tackle climate change is simply not to mention it!
The Department of Public Expenditure has dissolved its dedicated Climate Unit and amalgamated it was a range of other functions.
⁉️Mandatory helmets on bikes⁉️
I welcome the Tánaiste’s reassurance that new laws will not make cycling without a helmet a crime.
It had been reported yesterday that under new laws banning the use of scrambler bikes, it would also be a crime to cycle a bicycle without wearing a hi-vis and a helmet.

The National Transport Authority said DART+ South West will deliver substantial benefits for passengers through increased capacity, more frequent services and improved reliability on a key commuter corridor.
So Irish Rail now has to issue 750 compulsory purchase orders to keep the DART+ South West project alive despite no funding commitment from the government. What a mess and it's entirely of this government's making.
"You just ... fold it in!"
Terribly sad.
