Will Ukraine's allies have the foresight, and cojones, to seize the opportunity offered? I truly hope so (but I'm not holding my breath.)

It may be too soon to celebrate, but it's difficult not to! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to put Russia firmly in its place (11th economy in the world, between Canada and Mexico), so that it will be unable to invade, threaten and destabilise Europe, for a couple of generations at least.
And the murderous Assad regime in Syria has finally fallen, in spite of 9 years' worth of Russian propping up.
(And let's not even talk about the precarious, crumbling sh*tshow that the Russian economy has become.)
Now the Romanian Constitutional Court has taken the, as it seems to me, brave and radical step of completely annulling its recent presidential elections, because of the depths of Russian interference uncovered.
Moldova has kept its independence, and its trajectory towards Europe and away from Russia, in spite of major attempts by the Kremlin to interfere in its recent presidential elections.
Georgia is trying, for the second time in twenty years, to free itself from Russia's tentacles, with a popular uprising that looks remarkably similar to Euromaidan.
Ukrainians have heroically withstood every kind of sh*t that Russia has been throwing at them for the last ten years, and Ukraine remains a proud, free and independent country, against all odds.
For sure it's too soon to celebrate, but are we seeing clear signs that Russia is losing its long-established ability to interfere, for its own advantage and without serious consequence, in the affairs of other countries, especially its former satellites?
Even in the dark, Ukrainian children continue to dance and inspire. These kids deserve to live and grow up in peace ๐๐
Awww! Feeling a bit stressed, are we, Vova?

no better evidence that weโve got a couple trillion-dollar squatters holding the internet back than the fact that a company with 20 employees can make a better platform than Meta
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Sadly there are plenty of Moskovians who actually believe this.
I'm so sick and tired of Russia.

Russia is not fit to share a table with any civilized country. Let them chummy up with N Korea, Iran, China, and feed off each other's poisonous views and attitudes. Everyone else should just refuse to sit at a table with them.

This tells you everything you need to know about Russian "opposition" ... They want to replace Putin, but they will be just as nationalistic, like Navalny. It seems all Russians are incapable of seeing themselves, and Russia, as the problem. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

It's a street I know well. One I've often walked along, where I often worked, visited people, had coffees and lunches. One where good friends used to live.

A residential area. I have no words. Just pain. And an ever-deepening hatred of Russia.
Where UK politics is concerned, Johnson was a disaster. Completely unfit to be PM, IMO. But he's always been right about Ukraine, as he is now.
