Thanks for this. I just tried out the installation and I think the template skill might have accidentally been included.
I’m very happy with nmpx.dev . I’ve been using the eg2.vscode-npm-script VS Code extension to help keep track of available dep versions, to know what has changed, and what to upgrade to. I had difficulties doing so with nmpjs. I feel that nmpx fulfils this need and I don’t need the extension as much
I should be able to work on this soon (next week)
I wonder if we can rewrite this so that it’s not a virtual module. Just a generated module which we then add an alias to it

Watch this slowly turn into a global MCP manager, there’s a need for one. I can’t even keep MCPs in VS Code disabled without uninstalling them. Most clients have all MCPs enabled in new projects when they should really be disabled by default and enabled per project
just a reminder that i have github sponsors if you'd like to sponsor the OSS work i do.
i maintain quite a few projects, and contribute to many more. nobody other than these sponsors pay for that. so these help a huge amount, however small 🙏
thanks so much to those who already did ❤️
The proposed value actually makes it transparent so it works with all themes. Also, this makes it worth with html syntax which doesn’t have “brackets” but indentation is just as useful
Yeah, this seems like the right solution.
Prefetching only changes the timing of the JS modules fetched, but not which JS is fetched. If the user is on an old page, it still points to older modules since the client manifest was downloaded earlier. If the resource fails to be fetched, SvelteKit does a hard reload for you (downloads the html)
Ok I misunderstood and missed the part where this is related to new deployments on an active page. You will probably be interested in svelte.dev/docs/kit/con...
I’ve taken a quick glimpse at it and wonder if it’s something we need to do for SvelteKit’s streaming which may be similar github.com/sveltejs/kit...
Appreciate this! Showcasing more jobs that use Svelte also means more reasons to teach it and learn it. Inversely, a bigger market of Svelte developers is another reason to choose Svelte for projects 😊
Yeah, seems client-side routing is enabled (the default). However, it’s possible to click a link before the client-side router has initialised, falling back to native browser navigation. You’d need a slow device or internet connection for that to noticeably happen. Or if the initialisation throws
Is it an SPA? If it is, then the JS chunks are responsible for rendering the page. These would be hashed differently if it has changed so it’s unlikely it would reuse older chunks. If it is not an SPA, then client-side navigation only occurs after clicking a link. Native navigations may be cached
Probably vacuums the floor
PSA: they’ve deprecated the .mdc rule format. I must have missed the announcement
We’ve found the cursor browser to be quite buggy
What are your favourite games?
We use it on windows and we never get notifications for messages. We’ve ditched it for Google chat since we’re subscribed to their workspace anyway
@svelte.dev too!
Agreed!
Looking forward to more blog posts and reading recommendations! Would love to hear more about Vienna too.
This adds additional JavaScript to the page too.
Genius really. I’ve been using marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemNa... which does allow custom labels for bookmarks but maybe I won’t need it anymore
Thank you! Really appreciate issues like these for the website
