Just read an entire thread on mechanics and if anyone disregarding certain game mechanics is actually playing the game.
It boiled down to the old Rule Zero fallacy, and I kept thinking this is the quintessential ADHD RPGer vs Autistic RPGer debate still going strong.
I am guess that is not really going to attract the level of art that is worth much. Then again, it might be what they are going for.

Outside of the usual stuff, I've been taking a look at #Menace a very interesting tactical RPG that works a lot with emerging narrative, like the Jagged Alliance and XCom Games.
Hooded Horse did a lot of good stuff with this game.

I wrote some lists for this book and loved every second of it, but the rest of that book is just utter class, with callbacks, new ideas for vampires doing music and travelling from domain to domain. It oozes style and there's so many lore nuggets in there.

As far as I know, their focus is heading towards Prax now, not too sure if there is going to be an Esrolia or Holy Country book.
Of course I would say this, but we need to talk about the moral & ideological case for play & leisure more than ever. So much political discourse - especially from the super-rich - assumes we ought to construct society around forcing citizens to spend most of their one, unrepeatable life working.
I am a lot more scared in the pace of release these people could throw these games together.
