The Wedding People was my favorite.

Orbital felt like meditation.

World of Wonders was full of delightful metaphors.

That population is a disproportionate share of the actual perpetrators of the crimes they’re ostensibly trying to prevent as well . . .

This isn’t the way.

I saw a 1st or 2nd grader who got in serious trouble for drawing a water gun fight.

Practicing consensual attention is about ignoring/blocking obvious nonsense and bait AND finding the patience/curiosity to engage with the better stuff in more meaningful ways.

On a related note, I’ve seen many Bluesky posts about how important it is to block trolls/bots/hate to prevent now-familiar social media hellscapes from forming.

A big part of what makes free speech work is consensual attention.
