“The d-coach (Juuso Toivola) has really taught me a lot, and I think that’s what’s given me and the whole team the confidence to finish the last half (of the season) strong.

We’ve built and learned in the first half, and now it feels like we’re ready to go.” - Brooke Hobson

Ottawa Charge forward Peyton Hemp told me that she really likes the chemistry on the line with Taylor House and Alexa Vasko.

Regarding Vasko: “I feel like I’m always learning so much from her, and I always find myself asking her questions. She’s so dialled and locked in.”

When this team executes on the details within a game, they have the pieces to be right there with the best in the league.

Fans saw that in the first period against Seattle. It’s when things break down and they overcomplicate their decisions that they look like a different team.

Agreed. I use the main USPORTS website, but that’s often very delayed, even when they have the option to show “live scores.”

It’s one of the many things that makes coverage terribly difficult in Canada. I want to do a better job, but this doesn’t help at all.
