Coat and matching backpack cover
Kitty detail embroidered on the cover
Years ago I made this coat ; this winter I used the leftover fabric to sew a matching warm cover for my cat’s carrying bag. The embroidery design comes from Etsy, I can provide the reference if you’re interested.
Muslin dress, looks nice on a mannequin and that’s the only good thing I can tell about it.
Black dress with a subtle dragonfly and stripes pattern, with red silk accents.
My latest sewing projects : a muslin dress that what as awful to make as it’s uncomfortable to wear (crappy fabric -> crappy results, who would’ve guessed) and an other dress with a Japanese-y pattern and red silk accents I’m quite proud of

I said grad school but meant high school. anyway, probably even no-schoolers would get it.
There’s no process in gen ai. Prompting is not a craft, it’s barely even a skill ; so basic any grad schooler gets it instantly (ask their teachers). And the results are subpar to any trained eye. If gen ai is « a cultural revolution », it’s got to be the least interesting in history.
ai isn’t as appealing to the masses as the techmob wants it to be, and part of the reason why may lie in the fact that people like to see how stuff is made. They’re interested in the process. Cue the success of videos about machinery, factories, woodworking, niche crafts, diys, art vlogs etc.
