The American Embassy is being evacuated in Riyadh because of sustained attacks by Iran against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is my understanding the Kingdom refuses to use their capable military as a part of an effort to end the barbaric and terrorist Iranian regime who has terrorized the region and killed 7
Americans.
Question - why should America do a defense agreement with a country like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that is unwilling to join a fight of mutual interest?
Americans are dying and the U.S. is spending billions to dislodge the terrorist Iranian regime that threatens the region. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia seems to be issuing statements and doing things in the background that are marginally helpful, but unwilling to participate in military operations to end the reign of terror coming out of Iran. Hopefully Gulf Cooperation Council countries will get more involved as this fiøht is in their backvard. If vou are not willine to
I urge more senior US officials to publicly dress down the allies they dragged into a war all of them hate, that’s getting them bombed. Really grind it home: their security is dependent on the whims of a bunch of clueless, pissy old men who don’t give a damn if they get the entire region melted.

40% of the US population supports the Iran War because Trump started it despite it being a naked disaster with zero justification, I think the mandate is real and sane Americans just don't wanna admit it.

If this war were really about "freeing Iran," we would've done something when the protests were at their height instead of waiting until everything died down and then saying the quiet part out loud about oil

When's the last time the US Congress declared a war? It's been delegated to the president since forever.

Estoy intentando aprenderlo mejor ahora.... Si te manejas bien en inglés, "The Basque Language" de Alan R King es probablemente el libro mas completo que hay para estudiarlo por cuenta propia.

If I understand correctly, the thing propping up the global economy is Wall Street’s collective belief that a man whose father, wife, and daughter we killed would not want to do anything that would impact our 401ks to us and will make a deal so Mr. Trump can have a good midterm.

Remembering telling Claude about the Palantir sponsored military parade, it wouldn't believe it, said official military parades never accept corporate sponsorship and that it must be something out of some satirical piece

The issue isn’t that the College Board (or accreditors) is good and deserves defense (I’m not arguing that). It’s that a far-right partisan movement seeks to control the admissions and quality assurance regimes. It’s about seizing civic institutions; turning the US into a totalized party-state.

The election of Trump—both of them—will reduce the scope of every American’s future, as well as reducing the scope of who can be and will want to be an American

Various pro-war arguments of the form "Did you know the Iranian government is very bad actually!???" betray a Marvel film level understanding of international relation (tbh probably _less_ sophisticated than the better of them!) and are a painful reminder that journalists learned nothing from Iraq.
