"working" is getting stretched pretty far there...

Most of the MAGAs in congress have no job skills that anyone in the private sector would hire them for which is why they'll do anything to get re-elected. They either become right-wing talking heads or lobbyists when they lose.

Push from Saudis, Israel helped move Trump to attack Iran President Trump launched a wide-ranging attack on Iran after weeks-long lobbying by an unusual pair of U.S. allies in the Middle East: Israel and Saudi Arabia.

A more relevant fact is that reportedly Trump sent us to war at the behest of Saudi Arabia's MBS. The next question should be what Trump was offered in return.

I had a feeling that based on the way he was looking at me that my neighbor might someday attack me and that's why I shot him your honor.

I saw somewhere that an AI that used ten year old maps did the targeting and reportedly the ship sunk by a US sub was unarmed and in international waters at the invitation of India for maneuvers. These people are not only malevolent, they're negligent and incompetent. Hanging is too good...

It was reported yesterday that Trump attacked Iran at the behest of MBS of Saudi Arabia and of QATAR. Why and what Trump is getting in return wasn't reported.

Pam Bondi’s in trouble with Republicans on Capitol Hill The attorney general will soon have to appear before a House committee under subpoena.

If you ask me (and no one did), it's not so much that Republicans are tired of Bondi's incompetence, corruption and lying as they are that she's making Republicans look bad before the midterms. I'm pretty sure that's why Garden Noem was fired too.

It was suggested at the end of the season that the silos were built by the government in anticipation of an Iranian dirty bomb attack which apparently took place.

06.03.2026 20:15 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

There are undoubtedly Iranian sleeper agents in the US. Interestingly, the Apple TV series Silo is about humans in the future living underground in silos. No one knows why or who built them, but the strictest rule is "don't ask" punishable by being banished outside which is certain death.

Exactly. Imagine if Muslims murdered the Pope. The acting leader in Iran has already declared jihad against the US. No American anywhere will be safe. Trump, Hegseth and Rubio should think about entering the witness protection program when they leave office.

BTW, Iranian radicals aren't soon going to forget this and the acting leader has already declared jihad on America. Trump, Hegseth and Rubio should think about the witness protection program when they leave office.

It was reported today that it was at the bidding of MBS and Qatar that Trump attacked Iran. Just what the Iranian people need is a new leader modeled after Mohammed Bone Saw and the repressive Saudi government.

Sure, like he liberated Afghanistan so the Taliban could take over again. If he gets to hand pick Iran's new leader, you can bet that he'll be a corrupt Trump loyalist and Iranians will be no better off than they are now.

Allison Gill of MSW Media is a national treasure IMO. Gotta love "News with Swearing". She was a sailor after all.

I donate monthly to The Guardian, Meidas and subscribe to The Atlantic. I especially like and share Anne Applebaum's pieces in The Atlantic and she's one of my favorite guests on Al Franken's podcast which I listen to regularly. On MSW media, I love The Daily Beans and Unjustified with Andrew McCabe

Over time, they were forced to smoke in corners which of course did no good, then eventually out in the parking lot and finally were banned from smoking anywhere on company property. I'm convinced that the main reason was that company officials realized that smoking was increasing health care costs.

A few short years ago, these same idiots were defending the God given right of smokers to light up in public places. Back in the early 80s, it was common where I worked to smoke in the office which was basically a big open bay filled with desks side-by-side.

It's science, not politics and the former doesn't give a shit about the latter. Climate change will seem pretty real to people when there is no food, no oxygen to breathe and coastal regions are under water. These d-bags will be gone though, so what do they care?

Still subscribed to NYT and WAPO because they're so cheap after I've cancelled a few times, but beginning to wonder if WAPO is even worth $3/mo these days. Still subscribe to Seattle Times because it's pretty much the last big local "paper" here.

I like and follow Reich and couldn't agree more. I support The Atlantic, The Guardian, MSW Media, The Bulwark and Meidas and those are now my main sources of news.

06.03.2026 14:50 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

My takeaway from Reich’s essay is to stop watching big mainstream TV outlets based in the U.S. (CBS, CNN etc.) and focus on BBC, CBC & other international broadcasters and/or view independent media on YouTube like MeidasTouch & The Bulwark.
