I get a LOT of very silly emails, but this one actually made me LOL in real life.

#sponsored Android on tablets is great...but distracting π This #tcl #androidtablet solves that problem!
NEW video is here! I saw some of the COOLEST smartphone tech I've ever seen at MWC 2026. Thanks so much to TCL for giving me the opportunity to test it out and for sponsoring this video! https://youtu.be/P6eSwApsYsM
Finally, SOS satellite communication is expanding outside the Lower 48. You'll now be able to use your Pixel Watch 4 to message emergency services, even without a terrestrial data connection, in Hawaii and Alaska. Also Europe and Canada get to join the fun, too!
It will be a bit before I can use this, but there have been plenty of articles and videos about using the beta version of the system. Here's one from my friend Robert Triggs, but stay tuned for some of my own experiences: https://www.androidauthority.com/working-android-16-desktop-mode-3567057/
This one is HUGE for me, personally: Express Pay! You no longer need to open up the Wallet app on your watch before you tap to pay. You just tap, and that's it (assuming your watch is on and unlocked). Works on Pixel Watch 2/3/4, but you must opt in to use it.
I just posted multiple long threads about the March 2026 Pixel Drop for phones and watches, but I need one thread on a HUGE aspect of the Drop: desktop support! Connect your Pixel to an external monitor via USB-C to enjoy a desktop-like, multi-window Android experience β similar to Samsung's DeX!
This is similar to the left behind alerts: phone locking on disconnection. If you leave your phone behind, it will automatically lock when it realizes your Pixel Watch is disconnected. Also works on Pixel Watch 2/3/4 paired via Bluetooth with a Pixel Watch 8 and up (and "newer mobile devices").
Up next is a TERRIFIC feature: left behind alerts. If you leave your phone behind somewhere, your Pixel Watch will now send you an alert about it. This works on Pixel Watch 2/3/4 paired via Bluetooth with a Pixel Watch 8 and up (and "newer mobile devices," but I don't know exactly what that means).
This quarter's Pixel Drop is so huge, I need a separate thread just for Pixel Watch updates! β First up is that one-handed gestures β like dismissing an alarm by making a pinch motion β are coming to Pixel Watch 3! I love seeing Google bring new features to older models. Thread continues below!
Finally, the Now Playing service is an app! You don't need to use widgets and shortcuts to find your history and build playlists. Just open the app! Available on all Tensor-powered Pixels. Those are the highlights for this round, but check my profile for a whole thread on Pixel Watch updates!
Google has become obsessed with agentic AI, so now Gemini can do things for you in the background while you focus on other things. It can order groceries, book you a car, and more. Only supports certain apps right now and only works on Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL.
We still can't install icon packs on Pixels (stop pretending we don't want this, Google!), but we can now revamp all our icons using AI. You can pick from 6 icon styles, but it only changes the icons on the home screen, not the app drawer π€· Available on all Tensor Pixels, excluding the Pixel Tablet.
At A Glance now supports more information, including commute recommendations on Pixel 7 and newer devices. Additionally, At A Glance now supports sport scores and finance updates on all Tensor-powered Pixels (i.e., Pixel 6 and newer).
March 2026 Pixel Drop is here! π₯³ As always, here's a roundup of the highlights, starting with Magic Cue. This feature will now give you restaurant recommendations in the context of your conversation. Works on Pixel 10, 10 Pro/XL, and 10 Pro Fold. Not sure why not for the Pixel 10a? Thread continues!

I can't say why right now, but expect a SLEW of posts from me in a few hours...π

Here are the four colors of the new Nothing Phone 4a. I think the blue looks great, as does the pink. So glad to see companies injecting some colors into their phones this year!
#paidtravel_snapdragon Interesting talk by Alex Katouzian from Qualcomm at MWC 2026. Essentially, he's saying that smartphones and laptops used to be at the center of everything, but in the future, AI will be at the center. What do you think about this?
#paidtravel_snapdragon Could the new Snapdragon Wear Elite be in the Pixel Watch 5 #smartwatch? π Are you Team Tensor or Team Snapdragon for the Pixel Watch 5? (Qualcomm paid for travel and lodging for this trip to Mobile World Congress)
NEW video is here! The Galaxy S26 series is looking great, but I couldn't help but notice how many "new" software features are just re-named Pixel features. Watch for more! https://youtu.be/6UmhpPwVR3I

There's a new video coming tomorrow, and here's a little teaser π
My body is already tired from everything happening over the next two weeks. Between Galaxy Unpacked, Mobile World Congress, and multiple smartphones to review, I feel completely overwhelmed.
NEW video is live! The Pixel 10a is here, but I'm confused as hell about why. https://youtu.be/_3bPC2H2Hok
