He’s a saint and I hope he has an amazing therapist.
I can smell and feel this picture. No matter how long I live on the East Coast, Sonoma County will always be my home.
Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.
My husband is waiting for therapy for his PTSD. Took several months to get an intake appointment and now he’s been on a waiting list for several months. We still need to pursue hearing aids among other things but it’s so exhausting, which I feel like is the point.
If there are any survivors of sexual assault out there, don’t worry, Pam Bondi wants you to know the stock market is doing GREAT!
I’ve never shown anyone from Amtrak my ID. My tickets, sometimes more than once depending on how far I travel but never my ID, and on local trains you rarely even see an employee.
Ogles was ogling and it made him feel some things. Now he’s big mad.

And another has a “Choose Kindness” shirt, which she chose.
The personal expense on an emotional and physical level it cost her to testify is huge. Aliya is the embodiment of what community looks like. Caring for others even when it hurts. I hope she, too, is receiving the care she needs.

This boy deserves so much more than this but so glad his pilots gave him this experience on his trip home. We can’t undo the trauma inflicted on him but we can show him there is still love.
Ocean Beach this morning… just wow!!
Last week I got an automated call back from my senator Thom Tillis after I called about ICE. My phone transcribed ICE as ISIS every time he said it. Its misquote has never been more accurate.
I’m right on the 12’ line in northeast NC. I’ve been watching your forecasts from a conference in DC this week. I appreciate you solidifying my decision to switch to a train to Norfolk tonight rather than tomorrow.
Translation, I am a willing pawn.
Also, my father’s final words to me were to continue to fight the good fight. He would be honored in Alex’s sacrifice, and ashamed of this current administration.
In my dad’s words, I encourage you all to continue to “fight the good fight.”
According to @altnps.bsky.social she’s been detained at the Federal building.
In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.
I’m still waiting on the “don’t tread on me” crowd to be as mad about armed masked men breaking down doors without warrants as they were about wearing a mask to Applebee’s…
I like the Shakespearean insults, cankerblossom, 3-inch fool, crusty batch of nature, the cap of all the fools, moldy rogue.
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"
Or starting the car, putting her in and then loading the groceries but then to put away the cart I have to either unload her and her chair or walk away from my running car with my child in it. Best case scenario I get help from someone else but not always an option. (2/2)
I have mixed feelings on this one. As the parent of a disabled child on a hot summer day I have a choice between making my kid, who doesn’t control her body temperature well, sit in her wheelchair in the parking lot while I load groceries and return the cart (1/2)
My pharmacist friend refuses to stop telling her patients about ways to get discounts. She gets talked to by her boss regularly but they won’t go so far as to write her up because they don’t want to put in writing that they cannot tell patients about discount options if they don’t specifically ask.
