I don't want to be too pessimistic, but how many health data systems are not broken? This is not an excuse for Italy, it is a general pessimism I have on this front.

In what sense do you think it is transformative?
Because we should not start from the assumption that all human beings are brutally cynical. To some extent, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Back from the Flash and Particle Therapy Conference (FRPT) in Rome. I found it interesting, and the community attending it slightly differs from the usual Physics or RadOnc congress: fewer people from clinical practice, more radiobiologists and physicists working on radically new things.
Jakob Oden and colleagues from Raysearch published about an interesting survey about proton variable RBE.

Thanks for adding me :-)
Off to the FLASH Conference in Rome. frpt-conference.org
I will spend quite some time on planes in the next few days, but the meeting will be a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues in Europe. I hope to meet some of you there. #RadOnc #MedPhys

Did not know much about private equity. Interesting intro.
I wonder whether I will ever understand America's fascination for Halloween and its aesthetics, which are way too macabre for my taste.
A take I found interesting on food production systems. Here and there it's getting personal, but it is worth reading. www.monbiot.com/2023/10/04/t...
