Just bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite after having my Kindle Fire for years. I’m going to miss seeing my books in color so hopefully this is better.

The ppl are mad at a basketball drill video for the Chicago Sky on Twitter. *Deep sigh*

- Phx was surprisingly good with the players they have. AT and Satou worked well together.
- Sea needs more perimeter shooting.
- Sky needs more movement on offense and they have to play through the post. Also, you can’t sit Skyscrapers down at the same time one of them needs to be on the floor.

- Dallas may have to trade Big T cause she will not be used in their system. They need a versatile big.
- Was rookies are legit. I like Sonia and Kiki for them.
- I knew when Atl got Smesko that they would live and die by the 3 and they shouldn’t when they have BG and Jones.
- Indy got better

My surprises so far from opening games for the WNBA season:

- Cloud definitely makes NY better which is crazy cause they were already good.
- Minny has a chip on their shoulder and they are my front runner for the championship
- Vegas needs a post badly to help A’ja. Dana looked good on the team.

I’ll just tweet my thoughts here since it’s safer over here about the Chicago Sky.

- Too many threes yesterday
- Not enough paint touches
- Lack of communication on defense
- Ariel has to take more than 6 shots

It was their first game in a new system and they will have to learn each other.

The WNBA discourse has gotten out of hand on Twitter. I really thought the WNBA season would be better with the no space for hate but it ended all in Day 2.

Ready to see some more preseason action for Chicago Sky. Minnesota will be a good challenge to see what they can work on before the season starts. It’s going to take awhile for chemistry but finding the weaknesses is a good start.

True. I think she will regain the form back. I think Jeff is high on her and just her on the floor with any of the posts will be good cause they can literally have her out of the paint while they go to work and have 4 shooters around them.

That would be interesting. Idk if they can move Mo Jeff contract off the books to give her the spot. It would be interesting if she comes in and outplays her for the spot though.

I think I’m leaning more towards Maddy more cause I liked her game at ND. She’s more physical than Mo but I do think the speed of the game she will have to get use to.

This is who I think will make the team for Chicago Sky:

Ariel, Sloot, Mo Jefferson, Kia, Banham, Bec Allen, Mic, Elizabeth Williams, Kamilla, Angel, HVL, Maddy Westbeld.

I’m choosing Westbeld over Mo Berstch as the final pick as I think her shooting would help the bigs more.

I hope the Chicago Sky at least got some balloons and a better building to introduce the draftees cause last year Angel walking into that gym was embarrassing for everyone involved.

Who I wish the Sky to draft with their picks in my personal opinion:

10: Saniya Rivers, Pao Pao
11: Sarah Ashlee Barker
16: Aziaha James, Makayla Timpson
22: Maddy, JJ

Chicago Sky doesn’t need a PG right now they need a backup post for Angel and a wing to complement Mic and Bec Allen. I think Saniya Rivers is a good choice for #10 if available if not then grab a guard. #16 should be the post pick.

Thoughts on WNBA offseason:

NY - Get a backup PG then they will be in the Finals again
Minny - Need a post alongside Phee; yes they signed one but they need a Big Syl/ Brunson type post to bang
Vegas - Just sign Cheyenne already and get Tip back
Indy - FA went well good job

I agree. I think the draft has potential players not stars but players to contribute to your team. What do you think about Azzi Fudd? I know she has had a lot of injuries but I think if she can remain healthy she’s a good fit if she cones out.

Chicago is quiet with free agency signing. I know they are looking for a small forward but I like Mic idk why we can’t see what she can do abs draft Sonya and go from there. The Sky need to focus more on getting a scoring guard.
