Itβs Friday and technical issues be damned! I recorded a podcast with my friend @rorenado.bsky.social, where we discussed retro gaming, game preservation and a bunch of other great topics.

31 years ago today, Krusty the Clown first mentioned saying βthe quiet part loud,β an expression which has since gone on to widespread usage.
#TheSimpsons episode βA Star is Burnsβ first aired March 5, 1995.
We dug up this old asset from our archives and think it's a great reminder to take a break and do something kind for yourself today!

I will be flyering coffee shops tomorrow, please spread the word and get your people to show up.
A new California law says all operating systems, including Linux, need to have some form of ID verification (which theyβre calling age verification) at account setup.
This makes absolutely ZERO sense if you have even the most basic understanding of technology
We're still at $500/1000 raised, please help me share this if you can! I'm trying to do what we can for these families, but the local folks I have helping are spread super thin.
Oh shit. I completely spaced on this one, but Legend of Legaia is one you should also check out for PS1. It's an RPG where moves are input like a fighting game (no time constraint or anything like that), with a magic system where you absorb monsters.
i hate to make this post, but i had a major falling out with my dad.
i had to cancel the internet i left for him under my name and pay the overdue bill. iβm incredibly overdrawn, heβs stated he wonβt pay me back, and iβm panicking and exhausted.
any support truly helps π

Saddened to announce I was affected by the recent Polygon layoffs. Though my time there was short, it was an incredible experience with a truly lovely bunch of people.

While the games underperformed on PC, it probably has something to do with Sony's weird release strategies on that platform. There's no consistency in release dates, and some games should've been day and date releases with PS5.
I've enjoyed having God of War and Horizon on PS4/5, but also on PC.
I was super big into the PS1 as a teenager, and love spreading my love of that library with others!
Can confirm. Die Hard Trilogy is fun, especially the game mode based on the first movie.
World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck (Gen): Legit fun platformer where each character will have different areas in a given stage.
NHL 94/96 (Gen): Honestly one of the most fun sports games I've ever played.
Krusty's Super Fun House (Gen): Fun/tricky puzzle platformer with Krusty
Streets of Rage 2 (Gen): One of the best beat-em-ups of all time. Skate rules.
Phantasy Star II-IV (Gen): Sci-fantasy RPGs that you might like, with IV being the fan favorite.
Revenge of Shinobi (Gen): Action platformer with challenging level design and cool powers.
Can't not mention Parasite Eve and its sequel, PE II on PS1. First game is more FF, and the second is more like Resi.
Ehrgeiz (PS1): An arena fighter with FF7 characters and a bunch of bonus modes, including a full RPG.
Einhander: Square's side-scrolling schmup. Worth a look for the novelty alone.
Okay, here goes!
Jade Cocoon (PS1): A monster collecting adventure that falls more on the side of MonHun Stories, with an artist from Studio Ghibli.
Koudelka (PS1): Gothic horror survival horror RPG set in Wales with really customizable characters. Focuses on ghosts/evil spirits.
Definitely looks like it. I'd say just give it some time then. It might just correct itself like it did for me.
Yeah, I think it's some kind of authentication glitch. Have you cleared your cache for the site/app?
It eventually let back in, though.
I had something similar happen to me once. I had to use a VPN before the site let me in. I didn't have to do the age verification, though.
i would sooner staple my dick to a moving car than use this trash

Anti-vaxxers are bad parents. Not vaccinating your child is abuse.
We should eliminate all non-medical exemptions for vaccines.
Sorry, not sorry.
Reminder that the dev is a racist and transphobic piece of shit and you definitely should not be buying this
Saw a bunch of people I know play the demo (before everything came out about the dev) and figured they might not know about the full situation
You want a new flavor of pastoral american ennui?? Put those bitches in a semi rural Midwestern farm town.
PLEASE SHARE: As many of you know, I've been helping families in Orlando affected by ICE with food/bills. I met with 2 new families this week, one can't afford groceries and the other is late on rent. Trying to raise $1,000 along w/what I've put together locally. Can send via PayPal/Venmo: @KFoleyFL
Most of the footage of the famous 2000 "Super Mario 128" tech demo was recorded with handheld cameras by the audience, with the presenter drowning out the game sound. Only 10 seconds of direct feed footage exist, which reveal that the sound was a cacophony of Marios screaming.
The horse armor is back.
