I have met students and academic staff over the years who fully believe that privilege is a proxy for inherent ability. Hence my interest.
The university advice in full is βtry to undo some of the unhelpful mythology about the relationship of wealth to intelligence or hard workβ. By doing this, it looks like the university thinks some of its students are inherently stupid or at best stupidly educated in believing the βmythβ.
