I took my mum to see it last night and we were both in pieces by the end. So beautifully done.
1985 Edinburgh fringe poster featuring a very bright and rather demonic looking clown drawn in a deliberately child-like nanner
Can't sleep. Fringe poster will eat me.
New print just dropped.

It made me think of Bowie and "I'm an alligator. I'm a mama-papa comin' for you" and with "Look at that caveman go" perhaps this song looms large in his legend! The phrasing of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini made me think of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
(I also sang aw yeah!)
I have to confess that I am not much of a fan of this album, so I've not listened to it for ages. This will give me the chance to reassess. I'm always happy to change my mind!

Yes, I liked how he weaved Get Back into Little Sister. His undermining of Something was interesting

Love is in the air at Edinburgh zoo. Pebbling marks the start of the breeding season for Gentoo penguins.
Kids at Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity painted pebbles for the penguins to choose from and present to their mates.
The most visceral, physical reaction I had to hearing a song for the first time was for Porpoise Song. I still don't understand why and where it came from, but it's a lovely memory
Front cover of Micky Dolenz album, The MGM Singles Collection. A photo of Micky's head and shoulders. His hair is wonderfully curly

Happy Birthday Micky!
Hahaha! Brilliant!
I'm seeing him in Glasgow. I'm pretty sure I saw a York date. That's close to you, right?
Are you going to see him when he tours in June?

A song rejected by The Monkees producers that ended up being a hit for Linda Ronstadt and covered by countless artists. Here's Michael doing it. Others to follow....

I've just been listening to the song, Don't. Yes, he could sing! I'm glad you enjoyed the film.
Edinburgh in the sun is by far one of the best places in the world

Final animation by Miranda Peyton Jones, one of five emerging animators commissioned by The Alasdair Gray Archive & Canongate to respond to the new Lanark audiobook (narrated by Alan Cumming), exploring the novelβs famous Epilogue. m.youtube.com/watch?v=-baM...
This is a great chat and it reminded me to finally get round to watching Privilege. What. A. Film. "The older generation leading this country to galloping ruin..." Ahem
I'm really looking forward to reading this book

Roelof Louw gets everywhere
This is a life and death story for the UK β so why is it being brushed under the carpet?
My column on the headline you probably haven't heard, yet which affects you, your family and friends.

Just listening to the Monkees mashups - great fun.
Hereβs one I did a while back, mashing The Monkees with Iggy Pop, The Doors, Cream, Stones & Radiohead. Hope you enjoy!
