I hate when I get banned from the vets for being nice to the staff

The story of LGBT rights is a story of advances followed by setbacks followed by media with no skin in the game saying, "It's because you were too loud/asked for too much/moved too fast/got too big for your britches/didn't make your case." That never changes--but happily it's never the last word.

It's so strange to watch too. It's obvious these two are feeling important for the first time in their lives, getting to be the high school bullies they always wanted to be

I really wish medicine was more scientific and less dogmatic. The medical use of “biological sex” is not only problematic and incorrect, it actually brings my supposed doctors farther away from treatments that might actually work for my body.

The announcement said that anyone on site isn't to use facilities "that don't align with their biological sex" and that they graciously wouldn't make us use those that did, so trans people should only use the disabled toilets. Even worse, they'd just put locks on half the disabled toilets.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have union backing?

Also, not saying one situation is worse than the other, but my workplace did it even before the EHRC advice!

As my protest speech is gaining some attention, I'll briefly update. Speaking and trying to inform those higher up that a ban is not only not mandatory, but goes against their messages they send of inclusion - they did not care.

I'm working with my union and reached out to Good Law Project.

I'm actually glad you posted this and others have replied. I had a full breakdown today and had to go to my GP. I can't imagine what it's doing to others. Glad to know I'm not alone, in the weirdest way possible

This is always the part of the conversation that they never allow to happen. If a cis woman and a trans woman are in a toilet and a man comes in to assault someone, statistically it will be the trans woman victimised.

We are so much more likely to be victims than perpetrators. They don't care.

I've known two people who turned anti-trans online. One started after her boyfriend left her for a trans woman. The other is my estranged narcissist mum, who started after she met me post-transition for the first time and found out I'm now much prettier than her.

I'm seeing a pattern.
