See you in Cannes! (Part 2) 🥳
See you in Cannes!
Right now on my night stand (and design desk?).
Wandering Monsters being playtested at @IDEAG2026. A lot of great feedbacks... and some proposals already 😶.
Getting ready for IDEAG2026, the 21th edition of the Italian game designers meeting, with more than 350 designers (!) attending. Taking something a bit 'mainstreamish' with me. (The paper figures are from the incredible @printableheroes.bsky.social Patreon!)
My favorite designer sharing a game from his favorite designer!
I hadn't built a brand new prototype for way too long. I almost forgot how it felt!
We played Quatre Bras with @mropla.bsky.social and it was awesome!

Get ready to quarrel a bit with hills and LoS. Hope you will have fun!
I missed this exciting first-person account from the Rivoli battlefield! Thank you @letsplayhistory.bsky.social !
Playtesting the Battlefield of Saalfeld with the Solo Aide-de-camp.
Battlefields of the Napoleonic Wars is a winner. My gaming partner isn't drawn to Napoleonic and/or hexes, but loved this. Yes, it's light, but don't let that or the homespun production fool you. Timing, combined arms use and risk taking when needed make this a smart challenge. @mropla.bsky.social
Love it! Hope they enjoyed the experience!

Thank you Rodney! 🙇🏻
Today’s frivolity is La Coruña 1809 from Battlefields of the Napoleonic Wars, by Ingenioso Hidalgo (Paolo Mori & Alessandro Zucchini). A fast-playing system pitched at about the same scope and complexity as Commands & Colours, but with novel mechanics.
