When something is pretty bad but you keep it anyway: this wood fired vase. I didn’t make it back to the studio in time to sculpt it & I don’t work in 🔺10 usually/didn’t want the reclaim. I used it as a big test tile. It’s like a log of ceramic with weird blue glaze but I ended up liking it anyway.

Still making tiles. In a week the first batch of 50 should be complete and then we can figure out how usable they are/how many we need. 🤞

No, it is pretty thick so while I did re-stir it between coats it was pretty easy to use and have the confetti distributed fairly evenly, to Mayco's credit!

Thank you! I was trying to make it shallow enough for smaller birds & put the dome/flowers on it for the bees & wasps

If this doesn’t crack it will be a bird bath basin. If it does crack I will smash it for mosaic or for the bottom of plant pots for drainage. Glazing is truly a nightmare.
