The fact the the U.S. Men's Hockey team agreed to go to the State of the Union & the Women's team declined tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about the misogynistic pedophile-apologist cesspool America is now.

While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.
Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

Itβs Penguin Awareness Day which seems like a great excuse to post the greatest ever Wikipedia edit.

Today's early Spring semester reminder that if your academic library doesn't have an eBook you want and/or tells you they can't provide it, it is most likely not the library staff's fault.
We can't buy what vendors refuse to sell.
"The molten cartridge jammed," the tech explains. "It's been printing the same document for six hours." My resignation letter. Over and over, hot pages stacking. "I never wrote that." "The printer knows things." He shrugs. "Last week it printed someone's divorce papers. They weren't even considering it." I read my letter. Every word true. My response to anything over the next two weeks
Today is our office holiday party (Indian food ftw!) so obviously I can do nothing else today.
Have now been referred to interventional pain management, which is...not what I was hoping. I want to fix things! Not just not feel them!
MRI results were...illuminating. One extrusion, one protrusion, two other bulges, all kinds of other stuff. Basically L2 on down is fucked.
Another unique one: a friend described me as having more friends than any other introvert she knew. (It's true. I don't know how it happened.)
Not the best but the most unique: when going through some weird medical stuff, an audiologist told me my hearing was "pristine."
I am so excited about my MRI tomorrow. SOMEBODY FIX MY SPINE PLZ.
This is Goose. His stick didn't fit through the door at first. But Goose believed in himself, and more importantly, so did his doorman. 13/10 (TT: bigstickgoose)
The number of people who don't seem to realize this...

I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.
All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

Mainers have until tomorrow to reject a voter suppression effort pushed by Leonard Leoβs money and the unrelentingly deceitful Yes on 1 campaign.
Vote No on 1 and help get out the vote. #mepolitics open.substack.com/pub/amyfried...

As the leaves change color itβs time for everyoneβs yearly reminder NOT to rake up the leaves!!!! Leaf litter is important for soil nutrition, healthier plants once spring comes, and biodiversity! Nature developed this yearly ritual for a reason π

Went to the stupid gym and did my stupid PT exercises (and more) because my stupid body won't just work the way it's supposed to. SIGH.
And now I can work on strengthening exercises to try to moosh* them into alignment.
*technical term
I have long felt like my feet, the right one in particular, aren't put together properly. Like the bones were mis-aligned. At PT yesterday we learned that I WAS RIGHT. I mean, it still sucks, but it's nice to be validated.
That is five too many.
Trying to make Airtable do what I want it to do and I don't know hoooooow and it's making me sad.
