The photo shows sea spray aerosol generation along the Azores coastline.

New research demonstrates that waves breaking near shorelines release large amounts of sea spray aerosolsβ€”boosting both cloud-seeding particle numbers and airborne particulate mass.

NASA’s iconic Goddard Institute for Space Studiesβ€”home to Jim Hansen and hundreds more scientists, creator of the GISS model and keeper of the global temperature recordβ€”has been evicted from its longstanding NYC office above the β€œSeinfeld” restaurant.

Why? The government told them to move out.

Trump moves to close government lab that tracks planet-warming pollution The lab is connected to the Mauna Loa Observatory, where scientists gather data to produce the Keeling Curve, a chart on the daily status of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations.

New: A NOAA lab in Hawaii that is connected to the longest-running observation of global greenhouse gas concentrations is slated for closure in August, according to a list of lease terminations Democratic members of Congress shared with @washingtonpost.com.

NOAA Employees Told to Pause Work With β€˜Foreign Nationals’ An internal email obtained by WIRED shows that NOAA workers received orders to pause β€œALL INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENTS.”

By definition, numerical weather models require international data. The atmosphere knows no geopolitical boundaries: any model that begins and ends at its country’s border is unable to generate reliable predictions until after a weather system crosses its boundaries. Which defeats the purpose!

I didn’t include YouTube in this comparison because it isn’t a text-based social media platform… but I happened to notice today that it has limited access to my video about wildfire myths and facts.
