Alberta’s passenger rail plan faces another delay after missed summer 2025 deadline The province's goal to develop a 15-year passenger rail master plan has been delayed until later this year, according to a transportation official.

This is disheartening that the plan has long delays, likely costing more too. It is special when other jurisdictions have delays and increased costs in building. Maybe in this age of removing provincial barriers, we as a country could use Montreals example as a template for rail projects funded by Canada across the country. Take a page out of the China handbook. Reduce costs, build more with money saved.
