South Fork Coal Company missed a hearing about its numerous permit violations.
SouthWings flights have been an important tool in exposing mountaintop removal coal mining.

Bessie Coleman
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Bessie Coleman earning her pilot's license β becoming the first African American woman to do so.
Celebrate Bessie Coleman! She was the first African American woman to earn her pilot's license in 1921. She had to move to France in order to achieve this goal, though, because white pilots in the US refused to train her.
