Many years ago I went to school in Wareham and it's going to be lovely speaking at their museum and sharing some of the stories I've researched including some Wareham cards.
It's on March 25th and a free event, but the museum are asking for donations.

Not an unusual card, but the message is so poignant .

Dear Mother,
I am off to France today 28/7/15 with love, Harold. XXXXXX
I have had my photo taken and sent on to you. I have ordered two. Good bye.

Likely posted in an envelope, so we can't know what happened to Harold.
