I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.
Trump keeps saying "some people will die" like it's some deep insight, as opposed to the reason he pretended to have bone spurs.
Thank you!
This is the way
Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
What if, and hear me out here, Markwayne were not confirmed?
It actually is possible to stop giving this craven goon what he wants, and it would be nice if the media would report it that way.
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
This is exactly it; two guys whose alliances are so corrupted they don't even know when someone's on their side, embarrassing themselves in public
The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. Theyβre tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.
I believe MAGA will ultimately fail to consolidate authoritarian rule. But for the time being, the powers of the U.S. government are in the hands of a regime that is hellbent on imposing its unreality on America and the world.
And that is truly frightening.

by doing something so grotesque they won't show it on TV, he ensured there'd be no visual contradiction of his claims. this has been a consistent broken element of U.S. media for a very long time
This is what weak and insecure people think confidence looks like: buffoonish bluster and swagger, like a 12-year-old bully. It doesnβt inspire trust or security. It inspires grave concern for the lives of the people serving our nation whose fate is in the hands of these overcompensating oafs.
Seeing the new Hermes look is always my favorite part of new cast photos! This one is A+++
Since July, more than a dozen pregnant children have been moved to a single facility in the small town of San Benito, along the south Texas border. The children kept in Texas are as young as 13, and about half are pregnant because of rape, according to a joint investigation by the Texas Newsroom and the California Newsroom. In Texas, abortion is banned in nearly all circumstances, including rape and incest.
the phrase βmore than a dozen pregnant childrenβ ringing in my ears www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Hey, remember how we let a nazi near-trillionaire annihilate the US state capacity? I know it was a whole year ago, but it turns out that this has consequences beyond "murdering 14 million people by ending USAID" (which apparently no one cared about).
I love a book with a map frontispiece. Can't get things off to a better start than that.
Oh my
Oh no
27 seasons of SVU and the greatest thing they have ever done is briefly show the ADA wearing the jersey from the unitβs otherwise unmentioned rec league softball team

Portion of a math worksheet featuring a brief biographical inset about Michael Jordan, alongside a drawing of a bald black man whose face is a completely different shape than the one that famously belongs to Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls.
My kid brought home this worksheet, probably a Black History Month tie-in, introducing him to notable Black athlete Michael Jordan, and because of it I'm afraid he will never be able to recognize the actual Michael Jordan
Costco Connection magazine just published a full article about why and how to stop your car
...And now we have to live in a world where our big stupid president has a collection of big stupid novelty hats, like Judah Friedlander on "30 Rock," and wears them as he goes about his official duties, like napping through press conferences and musing peevishly about deporting his opposition.
Fun to remember that those big dumb MAGA caps came about because candidate Trump didn't want to go through his whole bizarre hairdo routine every time he had to appear in public. They symbolized his fundamental attitude in that 2016 campaign: "I don't really want the job; I just want attention."
I barely knew who he was at the time, and I remember it felt like a speech he usually gave at conferences on global politics, "the world is flat" type stuff, with (seriously!) "Dance like no one is watching" awkwardly tagged on at the end to make it graduation-ish.
IN THIS HOUSE WE
REMEMBER HOW YOU LOVED US TO YOUR DEATH AND STILL WE CELEBRATE...
(I started out joking, but I actually want this on a yard sign now)
I grew up with those hymns as part of my most profound experiences of faith, and I'm sincerely sorry that others didn't get to have that experience, but belittle the way good people pray just because you can't think about God and hear a guitar at the same time and you will catch my fury π₯
