Hot take - RE5 and RE6 hurt mainstream horror so much, we are only just getting it back.
It's why horror became the sub-genre in AAA. Alan Wake 1 is my proof. It wants to have horror, but it really feels like it's scared to commit. The RE games back then made horror a sub-genre to the action.

As i posted. They have INSANE leverage to win. Proof of financial damages, proof of brand name value damage. They have a LOT more than it looks. Youtuber's talking shit about them is good proof of brand damage due to raising prices in connection to tariff changes. This is a hell of a legal doc.
