Maybe too low a dose. For ritalin (personal experience), I was tired at first and also not able to start things. (5mg, 3 times a day.)
Turns out the dose was too low. Now with 4x 10mg day, I still have to get started on things, but when I do, I can get things done.

Yeah it really does! Also helps to slow racing thoughts, if you have them! But also beware of side effects.. Personally, I have a lot of trouble eating atm. Seems very common.

I feel this! I started taking ritalin myself (quick release) about a month ago. I feel it really helps me as an artist to actually patiently work on stuff. But finding the right dose is still a big search.
