It's worth noting that I only really see these takes from people who are on the same page as me so this is all just words because I love yapping about Cullen/Cult Dynamics/Complicated relationship dynamics

Interpretations are personal obviously I think explore whatever you need to with your blorbos! but for me personally when I reference Meredith "grooming" him I'm using the complete definition of the word in the context of cult-thinking. Not necessarily the widely acknowledged sexual facet

I always thought of this in terms of grooming him for a position by using what was already there to her advantage. So she saw his views, recognised herself there, so knew he was ripe for her agenda. So not in absolving Cullen way & not in a couger way, in cult-leader-needs-a-second-in-command way.
