His penthouse was huge, especially for a downtown condo in the heart of the city. It was many times bigger than my dinghy place. The furniture was new, sleek. Silver and black, monochromatic with splashes of colour on massive canvases.
Modern art, I supposed.
I didn’t get it.

I just checked my 360 page WIP and there are 20 laughs for comparison. One laugh every 18 pages.

The other day I saw a tiktok from someone who said their wife died by suicide but they said she self exited and I just cannot. We gotta fix this shit. Fix these fucking censorious apps. I cannot hear people describe immeasurable pain and loss using these terms.

Two white nationalists I exposed in a recent article showed up to try to intimidate me in person last night.
This is a press freedom issue.
Here’s what happened:

A post on X from the betting platform Polymarket that says “BREAKING: Anthropic CEO says Claude may or may not have gained consciousness, as the model has begun showing symptoms of anxiety.”
Literally as I’m arguing with someone about whether AI companies are misleading people into believing their technology possesses God-like super-intelligence I see this monstrosity

Just picked up a dark romance and had to put it down because there was FIVE uses of laugh on one page and I searched laugh and there are 380 laughs in a 280 page book and that is just simply too much laughing. That's on average 1.3 laughs per page. I didn't even search for giggles or chuckles.

We only just watched it for the first time last year and I was furious that I didn't know about it sooner. It's basically one of my top films now.

The Twitter algorithm is meant to piss everyone off generally but threads for you page is designed to piss me myself personally off. Tone policing authors, people embarrassed by sex scenes, people being rude to authors, endless book drama. No thank you.

The scene was of a World War II battleship - - none operational in the entire world now - - and an early World War II rocket propelled jet.
Even with their fanatical, erotic obsession with war, they understand nothing about it.

Talking to a Chinese friend and he thought we were protected from surging gas prices because we're a big oil producing nation.
So I had to explain to him that the oil is all in the hands of capitalists, and they don't give a shit whether we live or die, they certainly don't cut us a break on prices

Saw a clip of Jon Stewart falsely stating Iran is attacking "everyone" unprovoked. And lemme say, the level of shock after living through the Iraq war period is...
Nonexistent. He's a liberal through and through. And American liberal figures always back empire in the end.

Meanwhile I have to spend even more time trying to calm myself down after dealing with this lunatic ball of pure, undiluted anxiety.

We don't want AI-generated stories.
We want stories that are beautiful and weird.
Mistakes and obsessions. Labyrinthine worlds; love poems that break us.
We want the wild stroke of chance, the stray detail.
We don't want soulless slop.
We want work *written* by HUMANS.

Endlessly eyeroll worthy that our media keeps mentioning China arresting the "two Michael's" without ever pointing out our own courts agreed: they were spies.

I do think it's important that people know the "spies" we catch are more likely to be victims of an intelligence gathering scheme rather than, like, James Bond. They're people with access to data and are convinced to give it to someone who doesn't have authority, often without ill intent.
