Every other group needs a coalition of others to swing elections. We've tried saving America from itself for centuries. We can't do it. We can't save people who don't want to be saved. White America has to want to save itself first. THEN, we can be there to assist, but they must do the work.

Also the idea that Latino equals Catholic and thus more progressive (aside from abortion), is not uniformly true! There's many Latinos who have lived in the US for generations, are evangelical, and whose politics match. Part of why I doubt Talarico will get Latino support as people assume.
