Iβm sorry there is A WHAT KIND of facility?
I canβt do one show a week. They released three bingeable episodes. The last three come out on July 1st.
I LOVE THIS SERIES β€οΈ
I found it. The exhibit is up in until late July.
Is this exhibit up still?
WHOA!
::sigh::
How deep is this research rabbit hole?

This draft is going out for notes in a few days and Iβm ecstatic to get feedback. My brain is tired. Iβve had entirely too much coffee this month but this part of the journey is done. β€οΈπ
The Authors Publish course taught by Emily Colin was the most informative and eye opening course Iβve taken in a while. I was prepared to query (once the book is ready) or start the road to self publishing.
After taking a Romance & Womenβs Fiction course, I was able to refine the idea, revise the synopsis (this kept me up at night), write back cover copy, and loglines.
An underdeveloped group of characters and beat sheet taunted me since summer of 2024. I reached out to a few people to co-write a feature. They said yes, and thenβcrickets. Fast forward to today, I have a draft of my first romance novel. A romantic suspense inspired by a real life meetcute.
I finished a draft. Shared the writing. And now a little stress baking. The dough was a bit different this time but pizza from scratch is always fun. π

PLACES + POEM
Winding two lane road underneath cotton candy sunset.
A two lane road sits between tall thin trees. The fresh asphalt is split evenly with a yellow line.
Interior of small general store with antique wooden floor. Shelves are littered with books, toys, and random knickknacks.

Cream marbled entrance, enormous textured marble tiles line the ceiling. The marbled floor is a combination of conjoined octagons with squares in the middle.
Gold railings sit against a set of almost forty stairs. At the top is an old wooden arch underneath a large stained glass window. Colors from the stained glass color some of stairs a hue of blue.
Outside of an old castle grounds turned into a distillery. From aged limestone or brick, a creek with a man made damn trickles over a rusted wall. Really no place for princesses.

Pictures that inspired poetry β€οΈ
Is there a way to turn it off? I canβt figure it out.
Awww. π₯°
The author copies came in today. I immediately texted a fellow stuntwoman about the words that inspired this poem. That day Iβd texted her about watching sunsets, stars, and listening to the waves. She said, βthose make the best companions.β That phrase inspired these words.
Itβs been a rough go lately. This is a gentle reminder to be nice to speak to yourself with kindness.
This picture is from a pit stop. A brown and white US Route 66 sign sits in front of a tree and the Illinois State Capitol Building.

I promised myself Iβd post a poem a day. Today this one resonates π©΅
The trip that inspired these words took a wild turn. The gps decided to reroute itself. I ended up on roads in small towns where not much had changed. ππ

Chicago is truly a beautiful city. I always stop to marvel at this bridge. That day the rain finally gave us a break. That day I captured the flags dancing in the wind.
With the work of my brother, and a lovely artist, this photo became the cover.
