If we don't address the serious issue of predators pretending to be kinky within the space, this cycle will just continue. More kids will suffer and more adults will be sexually harassed.

The kids do not know the correct place to direct this anger to, but that doesn't mean they aren't hitting on an issue very very real and serious within queer art circles. I was also a victim of this exact behavior happening to me when I was a kid.

I used to run a music label and kids regularly came over because they were scared of a group of mostly queer people that excused genuine predatory behavior and disguised it as kink. I want to stick up for kink, but predatory behavior disguised as kink is a massive problem we do not discuss.

I've met a staggering amount of young artists who have been preyed on by this exact group.

I am pro-kink, but I recognize where this anger comes from within queer circles. There's a frustration of a lack of people caring about actual predation. A lot of these callouts are done by kids suffering.

I used to make breakcore and the space was pretty cool with underage drawn porn... And every single week there was a new predator outed. I still made music in the genre, but distanced myself quickly. While I agree, I'm also hesitant because I have been witness to the opposite.

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

The Beastars anime came out around the time I started making music more regularly. Haru's story has explicitly effected multiple songs of mine and I referenced her throughout an earlier project. The anime is finally ending later this week and I am very much looking forward to it.
