Beauty of Death: Some stars die slowly, puffing gas into planetary nebulas. Others explode as supernovas, forging neutron stars. This expelled material combines with cosmic remains to form new starsโa continuous cycle of destruction and rebirth. Art inspired by Helix Nebula NGC 7293.
Several St. Brigid's crosses sitting on one of the large stones of the cairn at Loughcrew in Co. Meath, Ireland. The crosses have been blown and scattered by the wind and rain at the top of this exposed, windswept hill. The rocks behind are the base of the cairn.
