Younger generations will find it hard to believe but ALL healthcare in the US was non-profit until the 70s, when for-profit HMOs were foisted on us as some miraculous way to save money on healthcare. It did no such thing, of course—healthcare costs started soaring and have never slowed since.

Copays should be $0
Prescriptions should be $0
We could have guaranteed healthcare with Medicare for All and save up to $450B and 68,000 lives per year if politicians answered to us instead of billionaires and corporate donors.
