I used to be the digital editor at a small suburban newspaper and the things people would say in the comments with their full government names and sometimes their *work* email addressβ¦. (The latter of which was only visible on the back end but still!)
Most Heated Rivalry coverage has been focused on what young people, particularly younger straight women, think. I cover aging and decided to ask older gay men about their thoughts.
I found: A founder of what may have been the first gay hockey blog, a wedding cake shaped like a Zamboni and more.

I know Phil saw his shadow but Quentin the Quahog says early spring!!

We recommend avoiding general and often dehumanizing "the" labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the French, the disabled, the college-educated. Instead, use wording such as people with mental illnesses. And use these descriptions only when clearly relevant. 9,742 L7 19.4K 43.8K δΈͺ AP The Associated Press @AP Replying to @APStylebook The use of "the French" in this tweet by @AP was inappropriate and has caused unintended offense. Hello Greater Boston I would love some videos of your dog enjoying (or not enjoying) the snow for a @wbur.org video. please send them my way!
Some immigrant parents in Massachusetts have been doing this too. From last June: www.wbur.org/news/2025/06...
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said the feds denied them access to the scene even after investigators got a search warrant signed by a judge.
Alex Pretti, 37, was the man fatally shot by a federal agent Saturday morning.
Gov. Tim Walz called federal claims of what happened at the scene βnonsenseβ and βliesβ and said the stateβs judicial system βwill have the last word.β
Stella Carlson said that before the shooting, the man was helping vehicle traffic get around the area where ICE agents and observers had started to gather. "The gentleman I was standing next to was focused on helping people who were coming into Nicollet Avenue understand that they needed to take it slow and helping them get through. The ICE agents approached us, told us to back up, back up. I'm not even sure why we were helping them, if anything. And I got on the snow bank, and next thing I knew, they shot him," Carlson said.

Ok now I want to know what your favorite thing to eat is when itβs cold and snowing outside. For me itβs probably beef stew with some nice crusty bread
A snowstorm is a good day to hunker down under a pile of blankets with some good snacks and a movie!
Reporting in from greater Boston to get strawberries for a sick kid and it looks very similar here at Hannaford. We know how to deal with snow!! Why are we like this
The look on that little boyβs face is absolutely haunting
