Betteridge's Law of Headlines?
Betteridge's Law of Headlines?
My grandparents lived on the Suffolk coast and told me about listening to the Doodlebugs coming over, and having to be ready to take cover if the engine noise stopped. They were aimed at London, not Thorpeness obviously ,but did sometimes fall short.
Cracking film, on D+ must pop it on at some point ...
"Would that you drank of my lips as dee-"
"CUT!"
Depends on the craft fair - I've been to a couple where about 75% of the merchandise on sale is either AI "art" or junk off Temu. For those ones, the slop posters could serve as a warning.
Image of an early public demonstration of the telephone, captioned "new phone, who dis?"
It's the 150th anniversary of the first telephone call, and who can forget Alexander Graham Bell's first, immortal words?
Bit of a schlep down from York but I've never been down to Bristol so if it's in March again I might treat myself to a birthday minibreak
Cool - maybe next year
Ooh, what event is this?
Also Kommissar Rex. Hudson & Rex just doesn't cut it.

I used to be quite fond of It's A Royal Knockout, but between Stuart Hall hosting and "Prince" Andrew captaining a team, it's a tougher watch these days.
FWIW @lukecharters.bsky.social this goes for me in York Outer too.
That, and all the anti-disabled stuff too.
And the anti-immigrant stuff.
love how we killed the old, frail anti-nuke ayatollah just to have him replaced with his young, healthy son who wants nukes and who just had his father, mother, wife, and child murdered on the same day by his mortal enemy. surely this will bring peace to the region
Are you playing on PC? I found it frustratingly obvious that it was ported directly from console. If you have a keyboard at your disposal you shouldn't need to be doing everything with radial menus, never mind putting the vital slo-mo mode on the awkward "press down on your middle mouse button"
But also, I might need to know where to get one of these
Isn't that next week? /panic
I showed my wife this and she said "yeah, that's wrong" and refused to elaborate.
1993 art of Eldar Guardians - space elves wearing blue armour with yellow conical helmets. Several of them carry banners and streamers, the closest one a yellow triangular flag edged in red, bearing the symbol of Alaitoc Craftworld, a crescent moon pierced by a sword
I'm currently doing Alaitoc Eldar, and *all* the transfers are yellow/white which means they can go on blue, but not on the yellow bits, yellow banners etc.
Also the white/yellow ones - at least thd older ones I have - aren't as opaque as you'd want either. The blue shows through quite a lot.
My Bluesky Discover tab can get a bit confusing because sometimes "Spurs" means Tottenham Hotspur and sometimes it means the San Antonio Spurs, and they seem to be having exactly opposite seasons.
I think the idea is "he killed his mum and didn't even know".
Or just stare into the middle distance having a flashback
*slaps roof of cow*
Hate to realise itβs true, Sam Vines boot theory no longer works because of that
Also the head Illinois Nazi in "Blues Brothers", and the sinister neighbour in the underrated "The Burbs".
I still remember the knockoff T-shirts on York market, featuring Burk Simson and his famous catchphrase "kowabuga".
Shara Nelson sang a great version of "Moonraker" on that David Arnold Bond album #TOTP
"Jakki Brambles" sounds like a school nickname that stuck #totp
I still slightly forget that's not Vince Clarke & Andy Bell #TOTP
