If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.

The Allan Labor Government is making it easier to get the Pill at the chemist without a script.

From July, women over 18 will be able to access the oral contraceptive pill at one of 850 participating Chemist Care Now pharmacies.

This change saves women time and gives them more options to get the care they need.

It also expands access for women in rural and remote areas where access to a GP is more challenging.

The Chemist Care Now consultation with the pharmacist is free. Women will pay for the medication.

Pharmacists who want to deliver this service will be required to complete a postgraduate training module to keep women safe.

Before dispensing the medication, pharmacists must undertake a thorough consultation and outline any risks.

They will also provide comprehensive advice about other options, including long-acting reversable contraception.

Haven't seen anyone post this, but heads up that the RBA have published their investigation into the Jan outage.

Unsurprisingly, they didn't do a media release on this one...

HIS HONOUR: In the eclectic world of music, notable artists, whilst acknowledging technological recording advancements, speak of an enduring affection for the vinyl medium. Simon Le Bon has said “There’s no question that a vinyl record is a lot nicer than a CD. It’s nicer to hold in your hands, you can do more with it.” [1] Kate Bush (whose song “Running up that Hill” has a resurgent audience having attracted a new generation of listeners through the immensely popular Netflix Series “Stranger Things” [2] ) is to like effect [3] . Neil Young has remarked “Steve Jobs was a digital pioneer, but when he went home, he listened to vinyl.” [4]

Security researchers used relatively simple jailbreaking techniques to trick the AI system powering Utah's new prescription refill bot.

Researchers were able to make the bot spread vaccine conspiracy theories, triple a patient's prescribed pain medication dosage, and recommend methamphetamine as treatment.

Why it matters: Critics warned this pilot could create safety risks — and researchers say the flaws persist, despite alerting the company in January.

Driving the news: In a report shared first with Axios, AI red-teaming firm Mindgard said it manipulated health tech startup Doctronic's system into tripling an OxyContin dose, mislabeling methamphetamine, and spreading false vaccine claims.

Hey Rohan, saw that 000 PLUMBING SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY’s site was updated last 2023.

AI now makes it easier to modernise design and messaging so it connects better with residential customers.

Can I send you a redesign to review? You can love it or leave it. No risk.

The Department of War has stated they will only contract with AI companies who accede to “any lawful use” and remove safeguards in the cases mentioned above. They have threatened to remove us from their systems if we maintain these safeguards; they have also threatened to designate us a “supply chain risk”—a label reserved for US adversaries, never before applied to an American company—and to invoke the Defense Production Act to force the safeguards’ removal. These latter two threats are inherently contradictory: one labels us a security risk; the other labels Claude as essential to national security.

Regardless, these threats do not change our position: we cannot in good conscience accede to their request.

It is the Department’s prerogative to select contractors most aligned with their vision. But given the substantial value that Anthropic’s technology provides to our armed forces, we hope they reconsider. Our strong preference is to continue to serve the Department and our warfighters—with our two requested safeguards in place. Should the Department choose to offboard Anthropic, we will work to enable a smooth transition to another provider, avoiding any disruption to ongoing military planning, operations, or other critical missions. Our models will be available on the expansive terms we have proposed for as long as required.

We remain ready to continue our work to support the national security of the United States.
