It really dependings on where you are. Everybody who is vegan occasionally experiences some kind of inconvenience as a result of their diet. We do new/potential vegans a disservice when we pretend otherwise. It's completely, totally worth it though

It varies by city in the US. I've spent the last majority of my life in large West Coast cities and most restaurants have a vegan option or two or can veganize something for me. I avoid small towns because so many of them are the land of "I guess I'll have a single leaf of iceburg lettuce."
