Keep up the anger sisters.
What would you add to the 7 demands of our 1970s sisters?
Well as an employer I don't normally allow my staff "w*nk" breaks, but of course the needs of "trans women" are more important than everyone else.
Either way we are predominantly talking about men.
And among the wealthy ones there seem to be more than the fair share of rapists & abusers.
I keep seeing references to the "Epstein class". I'm still not sure who is meant by this.
Is it the wealthy, powerful, ruling class, who feel they can do whatever they want & ride roughshod over everyone else?
Or rapists & child abusers who care nothing for the bodies & feelings of those they abuse?
Black-and-white formal portrait of Alva Myrdal (1902β1986), the Swedish diplomat, sociologist, politician, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. She is photographed against a dark background, resting her chin thoughtfully on her left hand, which displays a large, ornate ring. Her expression is calm, wise, and slightly introspective, with deep-set eyes, fine lines of age, and a gentle smile. Her silver-gray hair is styled in a soft, voluminous updo typical of the mid-20th century, and she wears a dark tailored jacket or dress with a simple collar, along with a distinctive metal wristwatch on her left arm. Alva Myrdal was a pioneering figure in social policy, women's rights, and international disarmament. With her husband Gunnar Myrdal, she co-authored the influential 1934 book Kris i befolkningsfrΓ₯gan (Crisis in the Population Question), which shaped Sweden's progressive family and welfare policies. She served as Sweden's Minister for Disarmament and Church Affairs (1966β1973), headed UNESCO's social science department, and played a key role in the United Nations. In 1982, she shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Alfonso GarcΓa Robles for her lifelong work on nuclear disarmament and peace advocacy through organizations like the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and Pugwash Conferences. Known for her intellectual rigor, feminist principles, and commitment to global justice, she remains an icon of principled leadership in diplomacy and social reform.#AlvaMyrdal #NobelPeacePrize #Disarmament #SIPRI

I think it is an indicator of his attitude towards women, but I'm a balmy old fashioned radical feminist who hasn't been a member of a political party since my membership of the Ecology Party lapsed some decades ago.
I think social justice is important but not more so than the environment.
I report and then block the men for use of sexist or misogynist language. The problem is I don't think the world takes those insults seriously, they are too normalised despite being the words used by men as they abuse, beat & rape women.

Yesterday was St David's Day, patron saint of Wales.
Today we think of Saint Non, patron saint of women who have been raped & mother of Saint David.

Rising ocean temps blamed for massive die-off of marine life. "Researchers examined the year-to-year change of 33,000 [fish] populations in the northern hemisphere.... They found the drop in biomass from chronic heating to be as high as 19.8% in a single year." www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Actually the most likely demographic to experience violence are babies, also the most vulnerable, least able to defend themselves.

This is one of the most heart-breaking & important articles I have ever read - from someone whose voices are so rarely heard, a teenaged girl.

Human life is so sacred that they are happy to kill women.
The Epstein files document what many women researchers have long experienced but rarely seen laid bare so starkly: exclusion operating behind closed doors, shaping who gets funded, invited, mentored, and taken seriously. How many of these networks, norms, and gatekeepers remain in place?
So yes I'm obsessed by safeguarding women and children.
The problem is men, I'm all too well aware of that, 30 years supporting abused women, I know that men of all types will take any opportunity, go to any lengths to abuse women & children. Some of them will put on skirts and make up.
Some cross dressers will be "safe", some not, just like other men.
Meanwhile those who abuse women and girls get away scot free and the girls get blamed.
You are aware that we are talking about the right to single/separate sex spaces & services where women are likely to be vulnerable, in states of undress, recovering from male violence, this includes public toilets, changing rooms, hospital wards, hostel accomodation, refuges & rape crisis centres.
