I feel like if anyone would know enterprise-grade clients, itโs you! Thanks for the insight!
I wouldn't say recently, as I bought it several months ago, and it was with a friend in the US for awhile before I could bring it back to Finland.
They do come up for sale semi-regularly, just not usually in as nice of condition as this one.
I was excited to finally get a Symbol SPT-1800 running PalmOS, but disappointed to find out that the 802.11 Radio Configuration was password-protected. Fortunately, someone on Reddit figured it out!

Fantastic. The remaster by Night Dive Studios a couple of years ago treated it with the upmost care and respect.

That other guy, who makes a BlueSCSI alternative product, is not nice at all. I wonder how much of his own market he has chased away simply by being an angry jerk.

Part of the problem is that we are spread out between what used to be Twitter, Mastadon, Threads, and LinkedIn. The community doesnโt exist in one place anymore.
Whoops, it's been over 365 days. I guess I'd better get my backups fixed.
Side note: Minnesota might have the best state flag in the entire union.
Closed for now, but I am looking into options for making it worldwide.
I would, but I don't want to betray that they did something out-of-warranty for me. The good news is I have lots of opportunities to talk about how much I love their product, and I enjoy telling people about products I like.
Yeah I was about to say, other then getting past the screen adhesive, a battery swap looks super easy on that. Very nice!
I'll bet that the battery expanded slightly. It seems like an expanding battery is the best way to release the adhesive, which seems kinda convenient!
I'd say that there's a good chance of fixing your OG PTR, if you managed to keep all of the parts together.
I have a product that I love. It failed outside of warranty. I emailed their support asking if there was anything I could do to fix it myself. They just issued a replacement item.
Or, I could have publicly flamed them on social media. That would have shown them!
This weekend, I worked on my Helsinki Regional Transit Departures app for #Pebble. Coming soon:
๐ Toggles between route number and destination with a short timer!
๐ No longer constrained to just Helsinki; will support all of ๐ซ๐ฎ Finland and ๐ช๐ช Estonia, since they use the same API!
LLM be like, "Yo dawg. I heard you like functions and methods, so I put a method inside a function so you can call the method with a function."
Lately when text chatting with friends, instead of wasting electricity on AI image generation, I've just been saying:
"Imagine me Scrooge McDuck diving into a pit full of identical multi-port USB-PD power adapters."
Saves electricity, but burns glucose. I wonder which is worse.
The battery on my Series 2 doesn't make it to lunchtime anymore. Perhaps I should look into a battery replacement, and pass it on to a friend (as I am wearing a Pebble these days).
Indeed. Completely heartbreaking. Tensions were obviously high, but I think it's very clear that this lady wasn't out to hurt anyone.
What are we even doing here?
Dad had a 386 running Windows 3.1. Playing this and Skifree are some of very, very first memories of using a computer and playing video games of any kind.
New: we've obtained material explaining how an ICE surveillance system, called Webloc, works. Draw shape on a map, see all phones available there, follow them home. All without warrant

No wrist-rest, any recommendations?
Back at work for two days; already struggling with wrist pain from mouse and keyboard work.
Mechanical split keyboard, ergonomic trackball mouse from Logitech. Not sure what else I can improve.
I had a T-Mobile G1, and nearly ever Nexus device. I ended up switching to iOS in 2020, and it's... fine. Certainly not perfect. The main reason I'm here is the integration between iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

I randomly stumbled across @tantacrul.bsky.social's video about Audacity 4. Two thoughts:
1. Wow. Audacity 4 Alpha 2 is shockingly easy to use. My go-to, starting now.
2. As a product manager on hiatus, this video is a masterclass in UI/UX design for mature apps.

When the Air released, I got about a dozen messages from people asking, โThis is it, right!? Youโll finally upgrade from your 13 mini?!โ
No! I want a smaller phone in the X and Y directions, not Z!
To me, the Air is a total fail.
Pebble experience on iOS: a couple rough edges but totes workable.
