You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.
They are literally WILD sometimes
I LOVE my job but feel I make these faces
When grammar tests don’t actually want kids to succeed but put in evil tricks to screw them over. Yeah. That’s not about testing their knowledge and understanding. It’s about told to be an adult who goes ha ha got you.
Looks amazing xx congratulations
The book cover for Toby and the Siege of Sky City with a luminous green background and a cityscape in a magical bubble. In the foreground, three children sit on a flying bed next to purplish clouds. Small yellow moths with glowing wings flit around.
📗COVER REVEAL📗
SO excited to share the cover for the third book in my trilogy. I'm once again blown away by how Sarah Jane Docker turns my vision & scrappy notes into a thing of beauty.
We really hope you like it!
Publishing on 26th March '25. Blurb & pre orders in next posts👇 #kidlituk
When you doubt yourself, please remember as a teacher, you can be that one person who makes a difference with your belief and care for the children in your class.
Going though diagnosis and getting ADHD diagnosis for 2 kids makes you realise you are the gene pool that created that. And start to forgive yourself for 30 years of behaviours that are most definitely caused by a neurological condition and you have ADHD too.
I have them ringing bells I time. I need to rethink this rapidly.

It is blooming brilliant.
Starting our Christmas year 4 production and ‘Little Donkey’ is rapidly going from me picking it as is cute to ‘I no longer want to hear this song ever again.’
Christmas production. If you know you know.
I know assessments are just part of the diagnostic tool we use to understand & level our children but I was super worried about the tests we’d do this wk. My class have blown me away with their results & I feel a little load lifted thinking yes, they have learned & improved based on these results.
This is THE book. The book that will make you read until you HAVE to finish. Utterly brilliant in every single way. Twists and turns sharper than the hairpin name of the book. A thriller that will captivate and clamp your heart in a vice. A 5/5 read. LOVE.
Varjak Paw outlaw would be great for the class library as we read the first book as our Summer read. Love all your books 🩷

Wow! 🩷
As niche as this genre sounds, I read a great one the other day! Not super scary though.
Don’t look now
Maybe not topless with a red scarf. Might cause too many raised eyebrows.
If you’ve read the other books, they are adult dark retelling of fairytales 😂 This one is the little mermaid. Vaguely…
Went to The Works for a birthday presents. I’m not sure how this fell off the shelf into my basket… 🩷
