That's cool, just wanted to make sure you were aware.
I didn't know about the in-universe bit, so thanks for that.
You know about the Twilight Zone movie as well, right?
William Shatner was in an episode of The Twilight Zone in the 1960s where a gremlin was on the wing of his plane and no one would believe him.
In the 1980s they made a Twilight Zone movie that adapted a few of the old episodes, and they remade the episode... with John Lithgow in the lead role.
I like that title, just in case you're not sure who it is.
I've got this on via YT, and it's not terrible, is it? Quite pleasant, in fact.
RIP.
Maybe I missed it, but that sitcom doesn't seem to have had much publicity? I'd have watched that, but I wasn't aware of it... it's a real shame when they don't make a fuss of shows like that.
I see there's not even any screenshots on the IMDb... I'm going to sort that out.
There's a lot going on in that cover, isn't there?
Oh, the first season has its moments, but is very "Terry Nation".
Definitely worth sticking with.
@theanorakzone.bsky.social You have Bluesky?! I'm the admin of the @starcopswiki.bsky.social ! Your site has been VERY useful haha. So thank you! π Glad I've got the chance to say hi.
Well, thank you very much, I'm glad it was of use. :)
Always good to see some Star Cops fans around.
Yeah, I saw someone had a first pressing of Peter Gabriel's "So" the other day.... and it was worth about as much as it was when it first came out.
I didn't realise the print run was that big tbh.
Yeah, I was talking about Marvel and DC... I realise that 1977 isn't exactly vintage, but I thought it would be getting near enough for them to be selling around Β£15 an issue or something. But they mainly seem to go for what they sold for.
I was looking at some 2000ADs to see if you had ££££ on your hands.
I saw pretty much mint condition copies in some comic shop, and the value was pretty low. Strangely they don't appear to have picked up the collectable value of other comics.
I often like to think to myself "What TV shows would have been better if they had Omar from The Wire in them?"
And you know what? I think 3-2-1 might be one of them.
"'You'll fly over to sandy shores'... well 'sandy shores' can mean the projects in Baltimore, it's Omar!"
That's exceptional.
I once ate a restaurant where they brought out a naan that could have kept a tramp warm. The really frustrating thing was, I wasn't that hungry, so couldn't manage it all. Such a waste.
Do you think it's the open revelation that it's not live that killed it off?
Though I see this was leaked at least 22 years ago now(!).... I thought this was a far more recent thing.
Was that the one on Facebook about people saying to ... entertain ... themselves as the chimes rang?

I'd forgotten all about Mary's dad.
I bet if you go back there's cross references in most of them... I'm sure someone's mentioned Hilda Ogden in most soaps, for example.
Though maybe this is a new multiverse, and it ends with Brookside and Albion Market coming back into the world?
@realpaulputner.bsky.social I enjoyed that skinhead interview footage you uploaded, very interesting.
I don't watch soaps these days, but I must admit this situation has got me intrigued.
Is it the first real soap crossover?
I did always like the idea of Mike Baldwin trying his hand in Albert Square, or seeing Kevin against a Mitchell.
The final Wednesday Play post of 2025 here, & almost the last in this as a regular series. It's been a pleasure! #OTD 60 years ago, James O'Connor & Ken Loach's Christmas-themed THE COMING OUT PARTY was entertaining & illuminating about life in a rough

What I loved about it, as I mention in the article, is that it's a completely different show as an adult.

I wrote this nearly ten years ago now (!) but with BBC4 showing a Bod special with Derrick Griffiths, it's an ideal time to revisit it:

A lot of people like Bambi.
Good to see a S1 top three though.
