image from the wedding portion of Bad Bunny's Superbowl Halftime show. Red arrow top and toward the left of the image points to a blurry silhouette that resembles Katy Perry's "Left Shark" from her halftime show
Rewatched and discussed the halftime show today with the Analyzing Music and Media students and I legit thought I found a cameo by Left Shark (it's not, that's somebody's jacket) π
I used to love computer it was my friend. Now I have hate in my heart
my dumbass habit is I will ask for questions and then look down at the computer/piano/whatever as I prep for the next thing. Forgetting to look to see if, indeed, anyone has any questions. Week 4 is still too early for them to feel comfortable hollering at me even though I encourage it.
need a browser add-on that's just "press f to block everyone who laugh-reacted to this news story" in order to exist on that other site
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.
once again i am asking literally anyone in a position of power to do literally anything so that our neighbors stop getting fucking murdered in the street
Last term I tried an experiment: I walked into my Tech and Design Ethics class, admitted that I had *no idea* what to do about ChatGPT - so I would let them figure it out.
As in: their first project was to decide and write the ChatGPT policy for the class.
Here's what happened:
how many of us are forming brand new sentences today like "i knew the duck before they were kidnapped and then turned into discourse"
Like the thing where "this character is that character" was very obvious beforehand but the thing where "this world is actually this situation, involving that character" felt like brand new info that I'm excited to learn more about. If that makes sense haha
Probably because I haven't played it in 5 months everything after the battle at the end of Act II (where I'd stopped in August) just felt like new information rather than a twist of whatever I thought before
Just started Act III
βpoliticsβ are uhh pretty omnipresent outside of Florida too?
- I like all of those things myself but I gotta say the battle amount and pacing is a delight, so much so for me that I might be the only person who looks forward to battles more than unfolding the story and characters (which are also good)
- I also still think it does a fine balance with keeping JRPG mechanics and general JRPG feel alive while taking out some of what normies don't like about JRPGs (grinding, interminable dungeons, inventory management, melodrama).
anyway -
i am back into clair obscur: expedition 33 after falling off in august. some notes:
- being an Only Parry Never Dodger was fun while it lasted but letting myself dodge turned a very hard battle at the end of act II into a breeze
- I still hate the overworld theme
- I still hate the menu
the liberal version of "1 like = 1 prayer" is "if I don't see you publicly posting about [issue] on [platform] then you're a bad person"
feel the need to post a quarterly "i don't post a lot about politics on social media (in a direct sense) but it doesn't mean it isn't 99% of my waking consciousness" disclaimer
glad you are okay and also WTAFFFFFF
I canβt explain it (maybe itβs just the return of bubble beveling) but the new iOS aesthetics are recession-core and I donβt like it
Was going to make a "low-hanging fruit" comment which actually made me remember to order a fruit picker for our 30ft tall grapefruit tree. (Having productive and zero maintenance citrus trees in the yard is actually a very valid thing about Florida)
Screenshot of a dropdown menu. "Florida" is selected. An error message below reads "Please enter a valid state"
can't argue

all personal news should be delivered with some casual food thoughts!!
I have HEARD of this marinara thing in western (well, west of PHL) PA. Never experienced it. Wild
thanks!
thank you!! Also I'm calling this kid "Tallahassee Cheesesteak" as a nickname now
I actually don't think I've ever posted even obliquely about this on any social media until now (at 8mos along). But since this is my complaining place, it was bound to happen
speaking of Delaware, my new dental hygienist lived in Delaware for years. Not even mundane to me -- whenever I meet someone outside of the northeast who has any Delawareness (IMO the "first state"...to be forgotten) it's basically spit-take worthy and so the dentist was perfect for this encounter
snake on a porch door, about 2 to 3 feet long. probably a rat snake
Secondly, here is what I hope is not a juvenile copperhead (I think it is a rat snake of some kind) on the porch this morning. We raked lil buddy into the woods and it slithered under a comfy pile of leaves and I was like "girl, same"
