Not a book but what introduced me to Arthurian legend was the Gargoyles animated series from the 90s. It holds up really well because of the Arthurian and Shakespeare elements. Worth a watch

In Darkwing Duck x Gargoyles Issue #3, Darkwing apparently has yet another ridiculous pet-name for Morgana - "My little feather pillow."

The Quarrymen themselves are not the only issue with that lackluster season - they were created by Weisman, they're in the canon comic book.
In one issue Castaway engages in stochastic terrorism and "inspires" a man to attempt a mass shooting.
Sadly very believable these days.

During my covid arc, alongside binge watching all of the 90s sitcom Dinosaurs, I also did a marathon of Gargoyles. MacBeth is conceptually a really interesting antagonist with a sort of Noble Goal.
Also he's basically Sean Connery if he was Blade meets the Highlander

rough, non-canon season 3 aside: what a show. there were plenty of good cartoons from this era, but i'm not sure any of them were quite as intelligently written and powerfully dark as this could get in its best moments + i support its agenda of depicting burly men wearing loincloths only
