My kids are good with a bit of ice (they have studded tires and there’s no shortage of spots to practice here in December. Lol) but due to some melt and freeze that happened last week there are an excessive number of icy ruts right now in the protected bike lanes.
The bike lanes are treacherous here today so for the first time ever I made the kids walk and take transit to school. There was much whining about having to leave the house 15 minutes earlier than usual and lots of “I would have been FINE to bike 🙄” from the teen.
Now I want to do a trip like this every year. Time to start saving for next year. 😂
I spent four days in NYC last week seeing 8 shows. I didn’t love the idea of going to the US, but New York was just as excellent as ever and all the theatre I saw was incredible. I’m glad I went!
I’d feel less great about my $55 if they had given me a seat at the back of the balcony. 😂 This one is pretty excellent. (Intermission now)

We’ve progressed from watching the baseball game to being held hostage by the baseball game.
I was a huge Jays fan in my early teens (the last time they were in the World Series) but after the strike I stopped following baseball very closely. Turns out the game has changed a lot in 32 years!
I’m just a last minute bandwagoner but I cannot handle this! 😂
The 90s nostalgia is strong this week. The Blue Jays are in the World Series, and I’ve been listening to a newly released Andrew Lloyd Webber cast album on repeat. It’s like I’m 15 again!
