Well hello there Scipio! You are lovely.
Haha! I havenβt told him!
PS: I tired!
Fluffy white cat sitting on a womanβs lap.
This small wild beast is becoming a lap cat. Also: heβs getting neutered tomorrow. Time flies.
Beautiful turquoise and purple bird from Costa Rica sitting on a branch.
I thought turning a year older in Costa Rica would be the transformative part.
Turns out it was norovirus.
Nothing humbles you like locking eyes with resplendent birds while actively fighting to hold down the ounce of water you managed to drink. Costa Rica: you were beautiful.
I was not.

Small down chihuahua with his paw on someoneβs lap and wry expression on his face.
We are 22 days into the year and I have already lived several small winters, lost some hope, found it again by spending time with this little weirdo and his siblings, and lost it immediately to the Toronto weather.
Also. Heβs the cutest, right?

Co-working
More like this please.

In non weather news (but tangentially related via subject matter), Saul Leitnerβs photography was/is magic.
Toronto weather is keeping us all emotionally agile. -21c blizzard one day, +1c and melting the next. Cool. Cool. π
This account is basically Statler and Waldorf for winter weather. Fewer laughs though.
We are not talking about the snow.
Small brown dog looking sad.
Small brown dog in a sweater.
Most people are back to work tomorrow, but Toronto has put January behind another yellow blizzard warning like βproceed with caution, expectations will not be met.β
The winter is really wintering here this year. The small brown dogs are not impressed.
Oooh! Thank you!
Woman wearing pyjamas with dark red sun faces all over them.
Normalize wearing pyjamas. Nice ones. To work, to play, to make dinner, to hang out with friends. They are just clothes that match and feel good.
Saaame. The kitten is very good and patient. Gus the chihuahua is a maniac and his sister Ella kind of wants to make friends but is easily led by her brother.
I didnβt intend to rescue this kitten. He sort of landed on my doorstep but now Iβm in love.
One is getting there and the other is most definitely not. And when he barks, the friendlier one joins in.
He really wants friends.
I accidentally rescued a kitten. He is gentle, curious, and optimistic about friendship.
My dogs are still not on board weeks later.
I keep waiting for the moment where everyone settles in and the dogs stop the barking and chasing.
If youβve been here: did anything work? How did it take?
Just watched the final episode of Stranger Things and while I thought this series lost the plot multiple times, I found it touching. Childhood, change, fear, love β¦ The end reminded me a bit of how Six Feet Under ended, which destroyed me. Well played.
New Yearβs Eve always makes me nostalgic for things I donβt even remember clearly. No idea what next year holds.
Pretty sure some of it involves robots.
Happy New Year friends!
My main prediction is: be prepared for monumental change.
Saaame!

Love the confidence. But everything is changing at the speed of light and none of us really know whatβs happening. Happy holidays!
The 'kin' of βnapkinβ means "little."
βNapβ comes from βnape,' which means βtablecloth.β
So a napkin is a little tablecloth.

Using Gumloop is like having a conversation with my pets.
It has a brain.
I have a brain.
Neither knows the otherβs language.
Gumloop: βIβm evaluating 14 possible interpretations of your node request.β
Me, to my dog: βIβm asking a yes or no question.β
Weβre all trying hard. No one is fluent.
Mostly just bright and slightly warm!
