The more I thought about this today, the angrier I got. The same city that made a huge show of how absentee voting is some sacred thing after Wisconsin's then-conservative supreme court banned drop boxes ... is now arguing against absentee voting as a right. Madison's gov't is behaving shamefully.

Read this thread for some serious hypocrisy from Madison, Wisconsin. A city that prides itself on progressive values, but also refuses to compensate almost 200 voters whose votes it failed to count back in 2024.
Governor Evers, as the article above notes, also has criticized Madison + filed a brief in favor of the disenfranchised. While these 193 ballots wouldn't have changed the outcome of any election... to have this happen is a huge failure. Esp in a state like ours with nail-biter elections. (4/4)

Noem still needs to be investigated and prosecuted for her crimes against the people of this country + her corruption. But her being thrown under the bus shows that the admin recognizes it has some serious credibility issues with the public (not like they're gonna fix that anytime soon).
One notable thing about Trump 2.0 versus the first go around: the relative stability of Trump's cabinet. Remember when people got fired every few months? Noem getting fired means she's really become a huge liability to the admin.
