Holy crap! Senator Richard Blumethal says Trump regime just briefed them on sending US troops to fight in Iran!!!
They've been able to in the past. So it's actually not ridiculous if they were unaware of the change.
I know that. But people have been able to travel so freely between these countries for so long, many don't really realize that & don't really think of their passport as much more than ID. It'll take some time to change the mindset. Even ETAs are pretty new. Used to have automatic 3-mo visa waiver.
I'm just saying it's not strange that people may not realize the ins and outs. Especially if it's a change and the change is so new.
But it'll also affect those who don't know. & it shows how confusing it can be & that people don't always know all the rules. So they may very well not realize they can't use a valid Danish passport or whatever as a form of ID. They know they're British & aren't thinking much past that.
Then how is it a problem for a child to enter on her Swedish or Danish passport if she's also British? How would this pose a problem if authorities are not aware she should be entering on a British passport?
People think of their passports as simply ID. Authorities will know they're British citizens when they look them up at the border regardless of which passport they use, so it's not a matter of letting someone in just because they said they're British. Authorities know they're British.
It's not that simple. I saw someone else point out, say a woman met a US soldier during WWII. They got married, moved to US. Had kids in the '50s. Now at 70-something one wants to visit UK. Won't be able to get in w/his US passport. He may not even know he is entitled to a UK passport.

Every American needs to watch this:
Yes, I think scam is the right word.
Medicare Advantage is not real Medicare, and it is awful. They shouldn't be allowed to have Medicare on the name. Closing an Advantage plan is literally opting out of Medicare, and I don't think most people know that.
Wow.
I'm not sure what you mean by dupe Medicare Advantage.
If by medigap scandal you mean how ins agents were getting benes from ins cos for steering seniors towards certain medigap plans, that is easily fixed w/regulations on medigap sales. Another problem is they get bigger commissions for selling Aadvantage plans than they get for medigap plans.
Over 90% of providers in the country take Medicare. The same can not be said for Aadvantage plans though. Waiting to collect SS does not affect Medicare. But waiting till after 65 to sign up for Medicare will result in a 10% penalty per year for each year you're late.
Medicare covers 80%, then some medigap plans cover whole 20% remaining & the part A deductible. You pay the $283 part B deductible. Premiums for some plans only go up w/inflation, not due to age or health. G plans r available for appx $150/mo near me & cover all that. Most pay $0 part A premium
Medicare is very popular though, so I think they were riding on that as well.
I agree - a new name would have been better. But most drs accept Medicare, & you can choose a medigap plan w/no copays or coinsurance. Some are very reasonably priced. Advantage plans though have copays & coinsurance & limited networks. & I think ins cos should be nonprofit.
Was wird teurer? Medicare?
The plan for Medicare for All is a lot different than the way Medicare currently works. It expands coverage quite a bit. It's the same name but a very different plan.

A lot of people register to vote when they get their driver's license or when they renew, so they were already vetted by the driver's license process. Otherwise, when you register to vote, you provide your driver's license number or last 4 digits of your social security number to vet against.
When Voting day arrives..it would benefit the Democratic Voters to hang around outside the Polling Places in massive numbers..this was suggested by one of my State Democratic Reps who is awesome...organize it.. this is how can make it safe for your fellow Citizens to Vote in Person...
Same. Easy peasy quick trip.

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.
All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.
