Spike Print Fair launches in partnership with UWE Bristol | UWE Bristol
Printmakers working across all techniques and formats are invited to apply to exhibit at a new three-day printmaking fair at Spike Island from 24 – 26 July.
Spike Island is launching Spike Print Fair, a brand-new contemporary printmaking fair running from July 24th -26th.
Showcasing everything from traditional techniques to experimental approaches, the fair champions the region’s creative excellence and artistic innovation.

Work by a UWE Bristol academic has been included in the Government’s National Cancer Plan.
Julie Armoogum, a senior lecturer in adult nursing, co-authored a policy framework that features in the Government’s National Cancer Plan.
The strategy, promises earlier cancer diagnosis and faster treatment to ensure 3/4 of patients are surviving cancer for at least 5 years by 2035.

LivDem, a dementia support course developed by our Professor Richard Cheston, is now being adopted internationally, following UK success.
The small-group programme supports people recently diagnosed with dementia to talk openly, feel less alone, and build confidence.

University academics conducted the first UK-based study on the experiences of mothers who became pregnant through rape.
The research explored their lived experiences and found that while these mothers formed strong bonds with their children, they carried deep trauma that had not been disclosed.

We collaborated with YTL Developments on a live student design competition, part of YTL’s 70th anniversary celebrations and the transformation of #Bristol 's Filton Airfield into the new Brabazon neighbourhood.
