"I don't understand why group A is not sufficiently opposing group B, as have made it clear that I want them to"
Deep down, yes you do. You understand why. Its because they both oppose you more than they oppose each other.
The enemy of your enemy might not be your friend.

Star Citizen Funding
While we're looking at data I thought I'd peek back at Star Citizen. Currently at over $947M. I'm gonna predict they'll hit $1 BILLION before ....May 20?
What's your guess?
Also anecdotally It really does seem like people aren't posting a lot of new roles anymore. We still see some, don't get me wrong. A few people still get hired. But there seems like much fewer roles to share, and many companies still listing ghost jobs. MANY people still looking for work.
I am seeing some small signs that COULD point to a slight recovery on the horizon, but its really hard to tell at the moment, particularly knowing how much of the data is hidden over the past year, so too soon to tell really. (too many layoff waves we don't know about, or without known headcounts)
Remember this is not normal. You can see in the graphs that after Q1 2022 something happened and there was a ramp up in these layoffs which accelerated until 2024 to stabilize at what we have seen since. It wasn't always like this.
games industry layoff data
As of 8:30 AM EST, March 5, I know of MORE industry layoff waves SO FAR in 2026, than I know of from ALL of 2022. (47 vs 46)
It looks like we've been holding an average of about 15 known waves per month for two years now, impacting an average of roughly 1000 people per month.
Relatively stable now
I dig 1 but 4 may be the only one here im unfamiliar with. Considering they're both the same line of pen (uniball) I have high expectations.
I need some expert advice from @rajio.bsky.social and friends.
What do you believe is a fair price for a restaurant to charge to add a single slice of american or cheddar cheese to your order?
have you done it?
I think most would agree that anything over a dollar (even in USD) would be too much. even if its 'american cheese'
Personally I think a dollar is a bit much but okay, thinks can be expensive right? over a dollar feels like its breaking a social contract.
appreciate it. this explains my results. and im gonna have to rethink my approach!
so many of teh online tips like use filtered water, double boil the water, etc is all bs lol
diagram
ooooh ok i think i understand. its kindof like this, where the top is clear ice. the air is in the bottom ice. connected through a hole. so the air just gets pushed down as the top freezes?
silicone ice tray
foamcore
okay okay okay, so top-down freezing DOES work for you?
I already have a silicone tray like this. and I think I have some foamcore in storage. I'm thinking i could try building an open-topped box with the foamcore to insulate the sides and bottom, and achieve that result. In theory that COULD work
Do any of you know how to get clear ice at home?
I've tried most of the online tips and they suck.
Best I can do is getting the top 2/3 of the ice clear, and the bottom 1/3 cloudy.
in my mind the Ghostbusters and MiB are part of one continuity
holy shit you're right!
